02月24日讯 曼联官方发布转型公告，宣布俱乐部预计裁减150-200个工作岗位。这是继去年裁减250个工作岗位后，曼联再次宣布裁员。
据此前《每日邮报》报道，在拉特克利夫收购曼联1/4股份前，曼联有1112名员工，是英超中员工人数最多的俱乐部。曼联的员工数更是远远高于其余的Big6俱乐部。例如，曼城在同期仅雇用了520名员工。
邮报表示，尽管俱乐部的收入创下新纪录，但曼联在过去三年中亏损了3亿英镑。尽管拉特克利夫已注资约2.41亿英镑，但球队仍不得不进行一系列措施开源节流，以扭亏为盈。
